Over the past few years there has been an increased awareness of clients that are living in severe domestic squalor and/or hoarding environments. Partners in Recovery have funded Housing Justice to:

  • identify local referral and intervention processes and web based resources
  • provide training to mental health and community service workers
  • and provide information sessions to carers.

Our one-day workshops, funded through Partners in Recovery, will help social workers, community workers and mental health workers to assess risk and identify appropriate referral and intervention pathways using our new web-based resource. The workshops will help participants to discuss hoarding with clients and other services, and will provide case-specific learning.

Partners in Recovery have also funded the Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre to deliver legal education to mental health staff and consumers.  This training will focus on mental health law and other areas of law which are likely to impact mental health and well-being. Dates and venues to be announced here.

Please help us to promote these sessions by sharing with your networks, eg Facebook, Twitter.
